Kubernetes Consulting

KubeWright is a London-based Kubernetes consultancy specialising in enterprise EKS and GKE estates. We design, harden, and operationalise multi-cluster Kubernetes platforms for organisations in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

Kubernetes is the foundation under every engagement we run. Most clients engage us through a Platform Engineering Assessment, Platform Engineering Transformation, or Reliability & Observability Engineering.

What we do

Most clients come to us after the easy phase of Kubernetes is over - they're running dozens or hundreds of clusters across multiple environments, and the operational cost of inconsistency is becoming the dominant problem.

We restructure the estate so it can be operated by a reasonably-sized platform team, scale predictably, and serve engineering teams through self-service rather than ticket-driven workflows.

Typical workstreams

  • Cluster architecture and multi-cluster design
  • Multi-tenancy patterns and namespace isolation
  • Autoscaling strategy (Karpenter, Cluster Autoscaler, HPA, KEDA)
  • Workload right-sizing and spot instance consolidation
  • Kubernetes security hardening and admission control (OPA, Kyverno)
  • Ingress consolidation and traffic management
  • GitOps operating model (Argo CD, Flux) for cluster and workload state
  • Upgrade strategy, cluster lifecycle, and disaster recovery
  • Production incident remediation and stabilisation

Outcomes we deliver

  • Standardised cluster topology across the estate
  • Predictable autoscaling and substantially lower compute spend
  • Hardened security posture with policy enforcement at admission time
  • Repeatable, low-risk cluster upgrade process
  • Smaller operational footprint and reduced incident volume
  • Documented runbooks and an operating model your team can sustain

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Kubernetes consultancy do?

We work with platform and SRE teams that already run Kubernetes in production but need to standardise, harden, or scale the estate. That spans cluster architecture, multi-cluster governance, security hardening, autoscaling and right-sizing, GitOps operating models, and the operational disciplines that keep large estates reliable.

Which Kubernetes platforms do you work with?

Primarily managed Kubernetes - EKS on AWS and GKE on GCP. We work across both, often in multi-cloud estates. Patterns and operating models are largely cloud-agnostic, but the underlying integration (networking, IAM, storage, GPU drivers) is provider-specific.

Can you help with a Kubernetes incident or production stability issue?

Yes. A common starting point is a stabilisation engagement when a Kubernetes estate is creating ongoing production incidents - cluster instability, autoscaling failures, control plane pressure, networking faults, or scaling cliffs. We diagnose, fix, and put the operating disciplines in place to keep it stable.

How does this fit your engagement offerings?

Kubernetes work cuts across all our engagements. Cluster-level diagnostic work fits a Platform Engineering Assessment (2-4 weeks); estate-wide restructuring fits a Platform Engineering Transformation (3-6 months); production stability and incident remediation typically fit a Reliability & Observability Engineering engagement.
